Youth Pathways volunteers will meet up monthly to carry out a variety of activities in Devon, concentrating on sites owned by Devon Wildlife Trust and the reserves of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, the National Trust, Woodland Trust and Forestry England. Transport is provided to and from sites, along with waterproof clothing, food and drinks!

Youth Pathways provides exciting opportunities for young people to make a positive difference on the natural world. We hope that this will also help to get more young people engaged in their local natural spaces as well as encourage a lifetime in environment action. We believe that with the enthusiasm and energy that young people have can play an important role in helping aid Devon Wildlife Trust’s mission to protect wildlife and help inspire DWT with new ideas on engaging young people with nature.

Practical tasks will take place throughout the year and will focus on one of five areas: * Conservation *Media *Plants and seeds *Building spaces for wildlife * Special species

Youth Pathways is funded by the National Lottery as part of the Pine Marten Bounces Back Project. It offers a pathway into nature conservation for young people encompassing woodland taster days, wider volunteering and funded traineeships.
